- Reply within one business day
- Fixed estimate or clear range
- NDA signed before discovery
What to include in your brief
The more of this you share, the tighter the estimate. Gaps are fine; we will ask. Our app requirements document template covers the same ground.
- What the app does, in two or three sentences, and who uses it
- Platforms: iOS, Android, both, plus any web admin panel
- The three to five features that matter most for launch
- Integrations: payments, maps, CRM, ERP, existing APIs
- Any existing assets: designs, code, backend, brand guidelines
- Target launch date and what drives it
- Budget range, even a rough one, so we can suggest the right scope
- Compliance needs such as GDPR, HIPAA or payment rules
What you get back with your app development quote
Scope summary
A written feature list in plain English, with assumptions and anything we have left out of scope.
Recommended approach
Native or cross-platform, MVP or fuller release, and the reasoning. See our services for the options.
Timeline
Phases and two-week sprints from discovery to store submission, with the riskiest items flagged.
Fixed estimate or ranges
A fixed estimate when scope is clear; otherwise a low-to-high range and what would narrow it.
Proposed team
Roles and seniority: project manager, developers, designer and QA.
Engagement model
Fixed price, dedicated team, time and material or staff augmentation. Compare them on our engagement models page.
How the quote process works
Day 0: you send the brief
Through the form above. Attach documents or links if you have them.
Within one business day: questions
A delivery lead replies with clarifying questions and, if needed, an NDA.
Optional: 30-minute call
For larger or less defined projects, a short call saves days of email.
Written quote
Scope, approach, timeline, estimate and team, in a document you can share internally.
Your idea stays confidential
Ask for an NDA in the form and we will sign it before you share sensitive detail. If you want to keep the first message high-level, that works too. After you sign with us, code sits in your repository and apps go live under your own store accounts. Read more on our NDA and IP protection page.
Quote questions
Is the quote free?
Yes. The written quote is free and carries no obligation. For complex or loosely defined products, we may recommend a short paid discovery phase before fixing a price, because guessing at undefined scope helps nobody. You will know before any paid work starts, and discovery outputs such as the prototype and backlog are yours to keep.
How accurate is a fixed estimate?
It is accurate for the scope written in the quote. If the scope stays the same, the price stays the same. Changes are handled through a written change request showing cost and timeline impact before work starts, so you decide each trade-off. Most overruns in the industry come from unwritten scope, which is why we spell it out.
What if my budget is lower than your estimate?
Tell us. We will show which features to cut or postpone, whether a cross-platform build would help, and what a smaller first release would look like. Sometimes the answer is that the budget suits a prototype rather than a launch-ready app. Our app development cost guide explains the main price drivers.
Do you quote for staff augmentation as well as projects?
Yes. If you want developers to join your existing team, mention the roles, seniority and expected duration in the brief. We will send profiles and a monthly cost, and every hire starts with a two-week developer trial. See hire mobile app developers for the roles we place.
Can you quote for taking over an existing app?
Yes, through our app modernization and rescue service, usually after a paid code audit. We need to see the architecture, dependencies, test coverage and build setup before committing to a price, because inherited code hides surprises. The audit report tells you whether to continue, refactor or rebuild parts, and you keep it whether or not we do the work.
