Offshore app development by country: how our Lahore team works with yours
Offshore app development by country comes down to three questions: how many working hours you share with the team, which contract and invoice setup suits you, and which local laws your app must follow. We are based in Lahore, Pakistan, and build iOS, Android and cross-platform apps for clients abroad, with pages for North America, Europe, the Gulf and Asia-Pacific. Each market page below answers those three questions for your country, so you can judge the fit before a call.
- One team in Lahore, clients worldwide
- Overlap hours planned per market
- NDA before discovery
- Reply within one business day
Why location still matters for a remote app team
Distance itself is rarely the problem. Unanswered questions are. A developer in Lahore who needs a product decision at 15:00 can get it in minutes from Dubai, within the hour from London, and the next morning from San Francisco. With the UAE on Gulf Standard Time, UTC+4, and Pakistan on UTC+5, the Gulf gap is a single hour. That one fact shapes meeting cadence, how much is written down, and which engagement model works best.
Location also decides which laws your app is built around: HIPAA and CCPA in the US, UK GDPR in Britain, the PDPL or DIFC regime in the UAE. It also decides payment providers and invoice currency, so we publish a page per market. The general case for working with a Lahore team is on our outsource app development to Pakistan page.
Markets with a dedicated page
Detailed pages for our four core markets.
United States
Two to three hours of overlap with the East Coast, a shorter early window for the West Coast, async handoffs overnight, invoice currency set in the contract, and HIPAA, CCPA and COPPA awareness.
United Kingdom
Lahore is four or five hours ahead, so your whole morning is shared. UK GDPR and ICO expectations designed in, invoice currency agreed in the contract, and IR35 questions routed to your adviser.
UAE and Dubai
One hour apart all year, near-full overlap, Arabic and right-to-left apps designed properly, and builds aligned with the UAE PDPL and the DIFC regime.
Lahore
Our home city: Urdu or English, the same working day, rupee invoicing by agreement, and JazzCash, Easypaisa and Raast payments.
More markets we serve
Fourteen more markets have their own page, grouped by region, each with time-zone, data-law and practical detail.
- Gulf: app development company Saudi Arabia (Saudi PDPL, regulated by SDAIA); app development company Qatar (bilingual GCC apps); app development company Kuwait (KNET checkout, CITRA’s sector rules); app development company Bahrain (iOS leads, BenefitPay, PDPL); app development company Oman (one hour behind Lahore, PDPL with a mandatory DPO)
- Europe: app development outsourcing Germany (GDPR-first builds); app development company Ireland (DPC, digital age of consent 16); app development company Netherlands (UAVG, iDEAL | Wero checkout)
- Asia-Pacific: offshore app development Australia (Lahore mornings, Sydney afternoons); offshore app development New Zealand (overnight builds, Privacy Act 2020); app development company Singapore (three hours ahead, PDPA and PayNow)
- North America: offshore app development Canada (same planning model as US projects, by matching time zone)
- Pakistan: app development company in Karachi and app development company in Islamabad (same time zone, rupee invoicing by agreement)
Working-hour overlap by region
Pakistan Standard Time is UTC+5 and does not change for daylight saving, so in most markets the gap shifts twice a year on your side, not ours.
| Region | Difference from Lahore | Shared working hours | How we run it |
|---|---|---|---|
| UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi), Oman | Lahore 1 h ahead, all year | Almost the full day | Live collaboration, same-day fixes |
| United Kingdom, Ireland | Lahore 4 h ahead (BST / IST) / 5 h (GMT) | UK and Irish morning to early afternoon | Daily stand-up, same-day reviews |
| Central Europe (Germany, Netherlands) | Lahore 3 h ahead (CEST) / 4 h (CET) | European morning to early afternoon | Daily stand-up, same-day reviews |
| Australia (Sydney) | Sydney 5–6 h ahead of Lahore | Sydney afternoon = Lahore morning | Afternoon calls, overnight builds |
| Singapore | Singapore 3 h ahead of Lahore, all year | Singapore afternoon to 21:00 | Afternoon reviews, evening releases |

Choosing how to work with us from your region
The right engagement depends as much on your clock as on your budget. A rough guide:
| Your situation | What usually works | Why |
|---|---|---|
| US founder with a written spec, little time for daily calls | Fixed-price build after discovery | Scope is agreed up front, so fewer live decisions are needed across a large time gap. |
| US or Australian company with an in-house product manager | Dedicated team, async-first | Your PM writes tickets in the evening; the team delivers by morning. |
| UK or European scale-up with its own engineers | Staff augmentation | Wide overlap lets our developers join your stand-ups and code reviews directly. |
| UAE or wider GCC business launching a bilingual consumer app | Fixed price for v1, then a dedicated team | Near-full overlap supports fast iteration once the first release is live. |
| Singapore or New Zealand team that works from written tickets | Dedicated team with release windows set in the contract | Singapore gets evening releases while Lahore is online; New Zealand gets a new build each morning. |
| Lahore business new to app projects | Discovery workshops, in person if agreed, then fixed price | Face-to-face sessions remove ambiguity before anyone writes code. |
Two-week sprints with a demo build, and code in your own repository, apply in every market.
What stays the same wherever you are
Some things do not change by country. We sign an NDA before discovery. Discovery is one to two weeks of workshops, and a fixed price follows. You own 100% of the code, designs and store accounts, and the code lives in your repository from day one; see NDA and IP protection. Every sprint lasts two weeks and ends with a build on TestFlight or Play internal testing, as described on how we work.
Costs do vary with your choices, not your postcode: platforms, screens, features, backend and design depth. Our cost comparison across Pakistan, the USA, the UK and the UAE sets out the market data, and the services overview lists what we build.
Offshore app development by country: FAQ
Do I need an app developer in my own city?
Usually not. What you need is enough shared working time to make decisions quickly, and a team that writes things down. A Lahore team gives UAE and UK clients most of the working day, and US clients a short morning window plus overnight progress. In-person meetings matter most for local Lahore clients and for kick-off workshops.
Which countries do you work with?
Mainly the USA, the UK, the UAE and wider GCC, Europe and Australia, plus local clients in Pakistan. Our market pages cover 18 locations: the USA and Canada; the UK, Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands; the UAE and Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman; Australia, New Zealand and Singapore; and Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad.
Can you invoice in my currency?
Invoices for international clients are issued in USD by default, and other currencies, such as GBP or PKR, can be agreed in the contract. Currency, billing model and payment schedule are written into the agreement before work starts. Fixed price is billed by milestone, dedicated teams monthly in advance, and time and material in arrears with a budget cap.
How do you handle data-protection laws in different countries?
We identify the regimes that apply in discovery, such as HIPAA or CCPA in the US, UK GDPR, the EU GDPR with Irish or Dutch national rules, the UAE PDPL, Singapore’s PDPA or New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020, and design consent, access, deletion and logging around them. Your legal adviser makes the final call on what applies. Each market page lists the main rules.
Will your working hours shift when my clocks change?
Pakistan does not use daylight saving, so our clock is fixed. When the US, the UK, Ireland, mainland Europe or New Zealand change their clocks, the gap to Lahore changes by an hour. We move recurring meetings in advance so invites stay at the same local time for you. The Gulf states and Singapore do not change their clocks either, so those gaps never move.
