App development company in Karachi businesses can work with remotely
Looking for an app development company in Karachi usually means you want a team on Pakistan time that understands local customers. We are based in Lahore, not Karachi, and we say so up front. What Karachi clients get is the same working day, the same language, video workshops and a demo build on your phone every two weeks. If part of the project needs a room, we plan for it in the contract.
- Same time zone, full working-day overlap
- Urdu or English
- Code and store accounts in your name
- Reply within one business day
A Lahore team for Karachi: what remote delivery really changes
Choosing a developer in another city sounds like a compromise until you list what actually needs a shared room. For most app projects that is two or three moments: the kick-off workshop, user acceptance testing with your staff, and perhaps launch training. Everything else, from backlog grooming to design reviews to sprint demos, already happens on a screen even when the vendor is across the road.
Because Lahore and Karachi share Pakistan Standard Time, there is no overlap window to plan. Your operations manager can join a 10:00 review, report a bug at 16:00 and see it fixed before the end of the day. If you are comparing options, our Lahore page covers working with clients based in Lahore itself, and the locations overview covers the rest.
Choose a Karachi-based firm instead if you want engineers sitting with your staff most weeks, or a vendor you can drop in on without notice. We would rather tell you than overpromise.
How a remote project runs for Karachi clients
The process is the one on how we work. This is where each step happens.
| Stage | Remote by default | If it needs a room |
|---|---|---|
| First conversation | 30-minute video call; NDA signed electronically before discovery | Not needed |
| Discovery (one to two weeks) | Workshops on Google Meet or Teams with a shared Figma board | A kick-off day in Karachi for complex operations, if agreed in the contract |
| Two-week sprints | Demo build on your phone via Play internal testing or TestFlight; recorded walkthrough | Not needed |
| Field observation | Your team records a short video of the current process, end to end | A visit to the warehouse, branch or clinic, if agreed in the contract |
| User acceptance testing | Testers install the build; issues logged in a shared tracker | An on-site UAT session with your staff, if agreed in the contract |
| Launch | Store submission under your accounts; admin-panel training on video | Optional handover session |
Any on-site work, and who covers travel, is written into the contract before discovery starts.
Briefs we hear from Karachi companies
The Karachi briefs we are set up for are mostly operational rather than consumer-facing. A distributor wants order booking for its sales team on the road. A courier or logistics firm wants rider tracking, proof of delivery and cash collection logged per parcel. A retailer wants its own ordering app so it stops paying marketplace commission. A clinic group wants appointment booking with reports on the phone. And a start-up needs a first version in front of users or investors.
The engineering that decides whether those apps survive real use is mostly invisible in a demo:
- Offline-first data. Orders and delivery events are saved on the phone and synced when signal returns, with conflict rules agreed in discovery.
- Cash reconciliation. For cash on delivery, every collection is tied to a rider, a parcel and a timestamp, and the admin panel shows the gap between expected and deposited cash.
- Low-end Android. Field staff often use budget phones, so we set app-size and memory budgets and test on cheap devices, not just flagships.
- Roles and audit trails. Who changed a price, cancelled an order or edited a delivery is logged, because disputes happen.

Tell us what your team does today
Describe the current process, even if it runs on WhatsApp and spreadsheets. Within one business day we reply with questions, a suggested first release and a rough discovery plan.
Worked example: first release of a Karachi distributor’s order-booking app
An illustrative brief, not a client project: a Karachi FMCG distributor with a sales team visiting shops across the city, orders taken on paper and WhatsApp, and cash collected on delivery. This is how we would cut the first release in discovery, and why each item sits where it does.
| Feature | First release | Later | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Order booking against the shop list and price list | Yes | The core job. Orders save on the phone and sync when signal returns, so a dead zone never loses an order. | |
| Cash-on-delivery collection log | Yes | Each collection is tied to a rider, an order and a timestamp, so the expected-versus-deposited gap shows daily, not at month end. | |
| Admin panel: orders, routes, cash gap report | Yes | The accounts team works here every day, so it ships with the app, not after it. | |
| Roles and audit trail | Yes | Price edits and cancellations are logged by user, because disputes with shops happen. | |
| Shop location check on visit | Yes | GPS stamp on each order confirms the visit took place, without live tracking all day. | |
| Live rider tracking on a map | Version 2 | Useful, but battery and data cost on budget phones need measuring in the pilot first. | |
| Customer-facing app for shopkeepers | Version 2 or 3 | Only worth building once the sales app has clean product and price data to show. | |
| Wallet payments (JazzCash, Easypaisa) | Version 2 | Cash dominates at launch; wallet routes are added once collection data shows demand. |
Illustrative scope only. Device list, offline rules and the pilot group are confirmed in discovery; the price follows discovery as a fixed quote.
Contracts, invoicing and ownership for Karachi clients
Invoice currency is agreed in the contract, and so is whether any work happens in Karachi and how travel is billed.
- Rupee invoicing and tax details: [[confirm]]
- Visit and travel policy for Karachi: [[confirm]]
A fixed price, set after discovery, is paid in milestones; a dedicated team is paid a month ahead; time-and-material work is charged once done, within a ceiling you approve. The details are on our engagement models page.
Working remotely makes ownership more important, not less. Before any build starts we sign an NDA, the repository is created under your organisation, and the Google Play Console and Apple developer accounts are registered in your company’s name. If a previous vendor still holds your accounts, recovering them comes first; our failed app project rescue service handles that situation.
Ask any vendor, local or remote
- Whose name is on the Play Console account?
- Can I see the repository today?
- Who has admin-panel super-user access?
- What happens to hosting if we part ways?
- How long are bugs fixed free after launch?
App development company in Karachi: FAQ
Do you have an office in Karachi?
No. We are based in Lahore and work with Karachi clients remotely, on the same Pakistan Standard Time working day. Workshops and demos run on video calls, and every sprint ends with a build you install on your phone. If your project needs on-site sessions, such as UAT with your staff, raise it on the first call so it is agreed in the contract.
Is a remote team slower than a local one?
Usually not, because nearly all project communication happens on screens anyway. What slows projects down is unclear requirements and slow decisions. Because we share your time zone, you can review a build in the morning and see fixes the same afternoon. The few moments that benefit from a room, like UAT with staff, are planned up front.
Can you build apps that work with poor signal?
Yes. For field sales, delivery and inspection apps we use an offline-first design. Data is stored on the device, actions are queued and synced when the connection returns, and conflicts follow rules agreed in discovery. We test with network throttling and airplane mode, on budget Android phones, before every release.
Should we build for Android or iPhone first?
Usually Android, or a single Flutter codebase that ships to both stores. Your field team’s phones decide it, so we ask for a device list in discovery. iPhone-first makes sense for a premium customer base. Our guide to which platform to build first explains the trade-offs.
How much does an app cost for a Karachi business?
It depends on platforms, number of screens, features, backend and design depth, not on the city. On Clutch’s Pakistan directory, 13 of 16 firms with a stated rate on page one list $25–$49 per hour; that is market data, not our price. Our app cost calculator gives a starting range in a few minutes, and a fixed price follows discovery.
Who owns the app when the project ends?
You do, completely. Source code, design files and both store listings are yours, and the repository is created under your organisation before the first commit. We sign an NDA before discovery. If you later move maintenance in-house, your developers get the documentation and release scripts they need to carry on.
