Enterprise Mobile App Development That Passes Security Review

We deliver enterprise mobile app development for companies that need apps their staff, partners or customers can rely on: single sign-on, managed devices, integration with ERP and CRM systems, and the documentation your security and procurement teams will ask for. We are a Lahore-based team working with organisations in the USA, UK, UAE/GCC, Europe and Australia.

  • SSO and MDM from the first sprint
  • Integration with your systems of record
  • Security documentation for review
  • Code in your repository from day one

What makes enterprise mobile app development different

Consumer apps live or die on downloads. Enterprise apps live or die on integration, security sign-off and adoption by people who did not choose them. A field engineer with gloves on, a warehouse scanner with patchy Wi-Fi, an internal employee app for shift staff, a sales rep updating the CRM between meetings: these users need fast, offline-tolerant tools that match how the job is actually done.

Enterprise projects also run through information security reviews, procurement, legal, data protection impact assessments and change management. A vendor that cannot answer a security questionnaire will stall the project long before code is the problem.

From discovery you get a backlog, an integration map, a security approach and the documents your stakeholders need, so approvals start in week one. Our general approach is described on how we work.

Enterprise apps we build

Most enterprise apps fall into a few patterns. Each has different integration and offline needs.

Field service and inspections

Job lists, checklists, photos, signatures and offline sync, writing back to your ERP or service management platform.

Sales and CRM companion

Account views, visit notes, quotes and order capture on top of Salesforce, Dynamics 365, HubSpot or a custom CRM, built as part of our mobile ERP and CRM app development work.

Warehouse and logistics

Barcode and QR scanning, picking, stock counts and proof of delivery, on phones or rugged Android devices.

Employee self-service

Leave, payslips, shift swaps, approvals and company news, connected to HR and payroll systems.

Partner and dealer apps

Ordering, pricing, training and support for distributors or franchisees, with per-organisation access rules.

Internal knowledge and AI assistants

Search and Q&A over SOPs and policies with role-based access; see AI app development.

SSO, identity and managed devices (MDM)

Staff sign in with the accounts they already have. We connect to your identity provider (Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace or Ping) over OpenID Connect or SAML, using the system browser so MFA and conditional access keep working, and joiners and leavers are handled in your directory, not in our app.

On managed devices the app behaves as a managed app: settings arrive through managed app configuration, data protection policies and remote wipe are respected, and distribution runs through your MDM, Apple Business Manager or managed Google Play. Apple’s Developer Enterprise Program costs $299 a year and has strict eligibility rules, so it is rarely the default. Shared-device sign-in, kiosk mode and the full frontline rollout are covered on our internal employee app development page.

What we need from your IT team

  • A test tenant or app registration with your identity provider
  • The directory groups that map to app roles
  • Your MDM platform and app protection policies
  • Managed configuration keys you want to push

ERP, CRM and back-office integration

Most of the risk in an enterprise app sits in its integrations, which is why enterprise app integration is its own service. We map every system, owner and data flow in discovery, then put a middle layer between the app and your systems of record.

System Common platforms Typical integration What to plan for
ERP SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo Middleware API over OData, REST or vendor connectors Rate limits, batch windows, master data quality
CRM Salesforce, Dynamics 365, HubSpot REST APIs, change events, webhooks Field-level permissions, API quotas
HR and payroll Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, local systems Scheduled sync or vendor APIs Sensitive personal data, regional rules
Service management ServiceNow, Jira Service Management REST APIs, webhooks Ticket status mapping
Documents and files SharePoint, Google Drive, Box Graph or vendor APIs Access inheritance, large files on mobile
Legacy systems On-premise databases, SOAP services Adapter service in your network or a secure gateway Network access, test environments

The mobile app never talks to an ERP directly. A backend layer handles authentication, caching, retries, offline sync conflicts and audit logging, so a slow back-office system does not freeze the app.

Security reviews and data protection

We build to the OWASP MASVS (Mobile Application Security Verification Standard), the industry baseline for mobile app security, and test against its companion testing guide, MASTG. In practice that means encrypted storage for tokens and cached data, certificate pinning where your policy requires it, no secrets in the app binary, jailbreak and root signals where risk justifies them, and server-side authorisation for every action.

We support your penetration test, or an independent one you commission, and fix findings before release. Data residency is your choice: the backend runs in your cloud tenancy (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) in the region you select.

Data protection rules follow your users. Under EU GDPR, the higher tier of fines reaches €20M or 4% of worldwide annual turnover, whichever is higher; UK GDPR’s higher maximum is £17.5M or 4%, according to the ICO. The UAE PDPL has applied since 2 January 2022, with DIFC and ADGM running their own regimes. US state and local governments must meet WCAG 2.1 AA for mobile apps, including apps provided through contractors, under the ADA Title II rule. Your legal team decides how these apply; we build the controls and supply the documentation.

Need an app that clears security and procurement?

Send us your requirements, your identity provider and the systems the app must connect to. Within one business day we will reply with questions, an integration view and the next step toward a scoped proposal.

Vendor due diligence: what we provide

Procurement and security teams ask the same questions of every supplier. These are the items we prepare or complete for enterprise mobile app development engagements.

  • Mutual NDA signed before discovery
  • Completed security questionnaire (your format or a standard one)
  • Secure development practices and code review policy
  • Access control: named accounts, MFA, least privilege, offboarding
  • Data handling: no production data on developer machines unless approved
  • Data processing agreement and list of sub-processors
  • Code, designs and store accounts owned by you, in your repository
  • Business continuity: documented setup so another team could take over
  • Company registration number and insurance cover: [[confirm]]

Support SLAs after go-live

Enterprise apps need agreed response times, not best effort. We define severity levels with you, using examples from your own app, and write a response and update target for each into the support agreement. The options below are what that conversation covers; which ones you choose depends on how much of the business stops when the app does.

Severity Example Response options agreed in the contract Until it is resolved
Critical App unusable for most users, or data exposed Response within Pakistan business hours as standard, or on-call cover outside those hours if added to the contract Continuous work with regular updates; the broken feature is switched off through remote config while the binary fix goes through store review
High Key workflow broken for a group of users Same-day response inside business hours, or a shorter target for named workflows such as payments or sign-in Daily updates until fixed, with a hotfix release if the next scheduled one is too far away
Medium Feature degraded, workaround exists Reply within one business day, Pakistan time Fixed in the next scheduled release
Low Cosmetic issue or enhancement Reply within one business day, Pakistan time Backlog, prioritised with you

Response targets for each severity are written into the proposal; standard targets: [[confirm]]. Pakistan Standard Time is UTC+5 with no daylight saving, which gives near-full overlap with the UAE and strong overlap with UK mornings. US coverage uses an agreed overlap window. See app maintenance and support for plan details.

What the support agreement should specify

An SLA that defines severity but nothing else cannot be measured. These are the terms we put in writing.

  • Severity definitions with examples taken from your app, not a generic list
  • Response and update targets per severity, and when the clock starts
  • Coverage hours in your time zone and in Pakistan time, plus any on-call window
  • How incidents are reported: a named channel, and a phone route for critical issues
  • Escalation path with named contacts on both sides
  • How store review time is treated, since Apple or Google review sits outside our control
  • Exclusions such as third-party outages or changes made by your own team
  • A monthly report of incidents against the agreed targets
  • Exit terms: handover documents, access removal and a final release

How an enterprise engagement runs

Same delivery model as our other projects, with the enterprise steps made explicit.

NDA and due diligence

NDA first, then security questionnaire and DPA in parallel with discovery, so approvals do not hold up the build.

Discovery (one to two weeks)

Workshops with users, IT and system owners. Output: backlog, integration map, security approach, environments plan and a fixed price or a dedicated-team plan.

Integration spike

Before UI work, we prove the riskiest integration end to end in a test environment. Missing API access surfaces here, not in month three.

Two-week sprints

Each sprint ends with a demo build through TestFlight, Play internal testing or your MDM, reviewed by your users.

Pilot group

A small group of users runs the app in daily work before company-wide rollout. Training material and support routes are tested too.

Rollout and handover

Staged rollout, runbooks, architecture documents and support under the agreed SLA.

Native or cross-platform for enterprise apps?

For most internal apps, a single cross-platform app in Flutter or React Native is the sensible default: one codebase, one team, and Android rugged devices and iPhones served together. Choose native iOS or Android when you depend heavily on device hardware, vendor scanner SDKs or platform features that cross-platform plugins lag on. Our native vs cross-platform guide covers the trade-offs.

Behind the app sits a backend and an admin console. We build both through our mobile app backend and API development and admin panel development services. If you would rather extend your own team, a dedicated app development team billed monthly is an option.

When an offshore team is not the right fit

Some enterprise projects should not be outsourced to us. If your policy requires on-site work, security-cleared personnel in a specific country, or developers on your corporate network full time, a local supplier is the better answer.

Where policy allows remote delivery, the risks are manageable with the controls above. Read our guide to outsourcing app development to Pakistan for how that works in practice.

Good fit if you have

  • A product owner who can make decisions
  • Test environments for key systems
  • Policy that allows remote suppliers
  • Willingness to run a pilot before rollout

Enterprise mobile app development FAQs

Can the app use our existing Microsoft or Okta logins?

Yes. We integrate with your identity provider using OpenID Connect or SAML, so staff sign in with existing accounts and your MFA and conditional access policies still apply. Roles can come from directory groups, and access is removed automatically when someone leaves. We need a test tenant or app registration from your IT team early in the project.

Will the app work with Intune or other MDM tools?

Yes. We support managed app configuration, so settings such as server URLs are pushed by your MDM rather than typed by users, and we respect data protection policies such as blocking copy to personal apps. Distribution can run through your MDM, Apple Business Manager or managed Google Play.

How do you integrate with SAP or other ERP systems?

Through a backend layer, never directly from the phone. That layer calls the ERP’s APIs or middleware, caches reference data, queues offline changes and handles conflicts and retries. We start with an integration spike in a test environment to confirm access, performance and data quality before building screens.

Can you complete our vendor security questionnaire?

Yes. We complete security questionnaires during or before discovery, and provide a data processing agreement, our access control and secure development practices, and a list of sub-processors. Your code, designs and store accounts belong to you, and code lives in your repository from day one.

Where will our data be stored?

In your cloud tenancy, in the region you choose. We deploy the backend to your AWS, Azure or Google Cloud account, so you hold the keys, the billing and the audit logs. Our developers get named, time-limited access with MFA, removed when the engagement ends.

What support do you offer after rollout?

A support agreement with severity levels, response targets and update cadence set per contract, plus planned work for OS releases, store policy changes and security patches. On-call cover for critical issues outside Pakistan working hours can be added if agreed in the contract. Larger programmes often keep a small dedicated team for ongoing improvements.
