Mobile app development services for iOS, Android and cross-platform
MobileAppDevelopment.pk is a Lahore-based team offering mobile app development services to founders and product teams in the USA, UK, UAE, Europe and Australia. We design, build, test, launch and maintain iOS, Android and cross-platform apps. Below: all 17 services, which one fits your situation, and how a project starts.
- NDA signed before discovery
- You own 100% of code, designs and store accounts
- Two-week sprints with a demo build every sprint
- QA on real iOS and Android devices
How our mobile app development services are organised
We group the work the way a product moves: decide what to build, build it, then run and grow it. A typical first engagement combines UI/UX design, an MVP build and App Store launch, then rolls into maintenance once real users arrive.
Almost every project is one build service plus two or three supporting ones. The decision table below maps common situations to a starting point. If you need individual developers inside your own team instead, see hire mobile app developers.
Build: native, cross-platform and specialist apps
Platform choice drives cost and timeline more than any other early decision. Our guide to native vs cross-platform development covers the trade-offs in depth.
iOS app development
Native Swift and SwiftUI apps for iPhone, iPad app development and Apple Watch apps. Best when your buyers are mostly in the US or you need HealthKit, Apple Pay or widgets.
Android app development
Kotlin and Jetpack Compose apps, tested across real device fragmentation. Usually first when your audience is global.
Cross-platform app development
One codebase for iOS and Android. We build with Flutter or React Native depending on your team and product, and say plainly when native is the better choice.
Progressive web apps (PWA)
Installable progressive web apps that work offline and skip the stores. Sensible where store discovery does not matter. Apple’s guideline 4.2 rejects thin web wrappers, so a PWA is no shortcut into the App Store.
Enterprise app development
Enterprise mobile apps for field-force, inspection, approval and internal tools that connect to your ERP and CRM or identity provider. SSO, role-based access and MDM distribution are planned from sprint one.
AI app development
Features built on large language models, on-device ML and computer vision app development. We first test whether a model is good enough on your real data, then build the interface.
AR/VR app development
AR and VR app development with ARKit and ARCore for retail try-on, furniture placement, training and field guidance, from augmented reality apps to virtual reality apps. We prototype on target devices early.
IoT and wearable apps
IoT app development: companion apps for Bluetooth Low Energy devices, smart home products, Apple Watch and Wear OS. Most risk sits in pairing and background sync, so we test there hardest.
Mobile game development
Mobile game development for casual, hyper-casual and 2D and 3D games, plus gamified features, with analytics, ads and in-app purchases planned before production.
Design and strategy: decide what to build before paying to build it
The cheapest change is the one made in a prototype.
Mobile app UI/UX design
Research, user flows, wireframes and a clickable Figma prototype you can put in front of users and investors. Designs follow Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design.
MVP app development
A focused first release built around one core job for one type of user. We cut scope with you line by line, because the most common reason MVPs slip is a feature list that grows during the build.
Mobile app consulting
Mobile app consulting covering stack selection, technical architecture consulting, vendor audits and technical due diligence. Useful before you sign with any agency, including us.
Run and grow: backend, quality and life after launch
An app is a running system, not a one-off delivery. Apple and Google change their rules every year; an unmaintained app eventually cannot ship updates.
Backend and API development
Mobile app backend development: APIs, databases, admin panels, authentication and integrations on Firebase, Supabase or custom Node.js and Laravel backends. Cloud accounts stay in your name.
Testing and QA
Mobile app testing services: manual and automated app testing on real devices, crash monitoring with Crashlytics or Sentry, and mobile app security testing against OWASP MASVS.
App maintenance and support
Mobile app maintenance services: OS update compatibility support, dependency upgrades, crash triage, store policy changes and small enhancements on a monthly retainer.
App modernization and rescue
App modernization services for a stalled or poorly built app: code audit, stabilisation, migration off retired frameworks such as Xamarin (see Xamarin migration services), and a refactor-or-rebuild recommendation.
App Store launch and ASO
Store listings, screenshots, privacy details, TestFlight and Play Console testing tracks, review submission, then App Store Optimization services for keywords and listing conversion.
Which mobile app development service do you need?
Find the row closest to where you are today.
| Your situation | Start with | Usually add |
|---|---|---|
| You have an idea and a budget, but no design or spec | UI/UX design, then MVP development | Consulting for the stack decision |
| You need iOS and Android, and the budget is tight | Cross-platform (Flutter or React Native) | Backend and APIs, App Store launch |
| Most of your paying users are on iPhone in the US | iOS app development | Android later, once retention is proven |
| Your users are global or in emerging markets | Android app development | iOS once traction is clear |
| Your app crashes, stalls or was abandoned by a vendor | Modernization and rescue | Testing and QA, maintenance |
| You want AI features in an existing product | AI app development | Backend and APIs |
| Staff need an internal tool tied to existing systems | Enterprise app development | Backend and APIs, Testing and QA |
| Your app is live but installs are flat | App Store launch and ASO | UI/UX design review |

Not sure which row is yours?
On a 30-minute call we ask about users, platforms and deadline, then name the service to start with, even when the answer is “not yet”.
How engagements start
Every service follows the same opening sequence. The full delivery process, from backlog to release, is on our how we work page.
Scoping call
Problem, users, platforms and constraints. You leave knowing which service fits and where the risks are.
NDA before details
We sign an NDA before you share anything sensitive. What we sign and who owns what is set out on our NDA and IP protection page.
Discovery
One to two weeks of workshops. Outputs: a written scope, a prioritised backlog with acceptance criteria, an architecture note and an estimate. The clickable prototype follows in the design phase.
Estimate and engagement model
A written estimate tied to that backlog, plus a recommended model from our engagement models: fixed price, dedicated team, time and material, or staff augmentation.
Sprint one
Code goes into your repository from day one. Each two-week sprint ends with a demo build on TestFlight or Play Console internal testing.
What every engagement includes
Ownership is what buyers ask about most, and with good reason: agencies that hold the repository or store accounts make it expensive to leave. With us, store accounts are opened in your company’s name, code lives in your GitHub or GitLab organisation, and design files sit in your Figma workspace.
Pakistan runs on UTC+5 with no daylight saving, so UK and UAE clients share most of their working day with us. US East Coast clients usually get a 2–4 hour overlap plus written handoffs. More on this in our guide to outsourcing app development to Pakistan.
Included as standard
- NDA signed before discovery
- 100% ownership of code, designs and store accounts
- Code in your repository from day one
- Dedicated project manager
- Two-week sprints with a demo build
- QA on real devices
- App Store and Google Play submission
- Post-launch support
When we are not the right fit
Outsourcing to Lahore works for most product builds, but not all of them. If you need engineers in a New York office every day, on New York hours, with no async communication, hire locally.
We are also the wrong choice if the goal is the lowest bid. Very low quotes usually drop discovery, QA or support, and those costs return as rework. Our app development cost guide explains what drives price.
Mobile app development services: common questions
What mobile app development services do you offer?
We offer 17 services in three groups. Build: iOS, Android, cross-platform (Flutter and React Native), PWA, enterprise, AI, AR/VR, IoT and wearables, and games. Design and strategy: UI/UX design, MVP development and consulting. Run and grow: backend and APIs, testing and QA, maintenance, modernization and rescue, and App Store launch with ASO.
Should I build a native app or a cross-platform app?
Cross-platform suits most business apps that need iOS and Android on one budget, because one codebase covers both. Native is the better choice when you rely heavily on platform features such as widgets, watch apps, advanced camera or Bluetooth work, or when you only need one platform. We recommend a direction after discovery, with reasons, rather than defaulting to the stack we prefer.
How much does a typical app project cost?
It depends on scope, platforms, integrations and how much design is needed. As market context, Clutch’s app development cost guide reports that most projects reviewed on its platform fall between $10,000 and $49,999, with an average project cost of $90,780. We give a written estimate tied to a backlog after discovery, so you can see what each feature adds.
Can you take over an app built by another agency?
Yes. We start with a code and infrastructure audit: build health, dependencies, crash data, test coverage and who controls the accounts. You then get a written recommendation to stabilise, refactor or rebuild, with an estimate for each. If the app runs on a retired framework such as Xamarin, migration is usually part of the plan.
Do I own the source code and the app store accounts?
Yes, fully. The code lives in your own repository from day one, the Apple Developer and Google Play Console accounts are registered to your company, and design files sit in your Figma workspace. We sign an NDA before discovery, and the contract assigns intellectual property to you. If you change vendors later, nothing has to be transferred back from us.
Do you handle App Store and Google Play submission?
Yes. We prepare listings, screenshots, privacy details and review notes, run TestFlight and Play Console testing tracks, and respond to reviewer feedback until the app is approved. The store accounts are yours: Apple charges $99 a year for its Developer Program and Google Play charges a one-time $25 registration fee, paid directly by you.
